Andrew M. Nason is an attorney in Buffalo, New York. Mr. Nason is admitted to the bars of New York State and the District of Columbia and is admitted to practice before the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, the United States Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the United States District Court for Colorado. He currently maintains a diverse civil litigation practice including general business, civil-rights, and personal-injury matters.
Before joining Pigott Law Group, Mr. Nason worked at several mid-sized firms, where he maintained a complex commercial litigation practice with a focus on intellectual-property litigation. In his prior roles, he represented both plaintiffs and defendants in patent-infringement cases, trade-secret cases, unfair-competition investigations, contract disputes, and insurance-coverage cases, among other types of cases. He has represented clients in state courts, federal district courts, appellate courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States, and before administrative tribunals such as the Patent Trial and Appeal Board and the International Trade Commission.
Mr. Nason earned his law degree from Georgetown Law. He also holds Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rochester.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mr. Nason worked as a chemical engineer designing and upgrading ethanol-distillation plants, and prior to that as a product manager for a wood-treating chemical sales company.
When not practicing law, Mr. Nason enjoys playing hockey and golf. He is a member of the Canisius High School Alumni Board. But mostly, Mr. Nason enjoys spending time with his family, which primarily entails chauffeuring his two children to various hockey rinks to watch them play.
